Le Louvre Abu Dhabi annonce la création de ‘On the roads of Arabia’ une performance musicale et artistique inspirée de l’exposition ‘Roads of Arabia: trésors archéologiques d’Arabie saoudite’. Ce spectacle de 75 minutes réunira 80 artistes du monde arabe et illustrera les routes des échanges commerciaux et culturels d’Arabie, du Maroc à la Chine. La représentation se déroulera pendant trois nuits du 8 au 10 novembre au Louvre Abu Dhabi.
Louvre Abu Dhabi announces the premiere of ‘On the roads of Arabia’ a large scale commissioned musical and artistic performance inspired by the Roads of Arabia: Archaeological Treasures of Saudi Arabiaexhibition. The 75 minute performance will see 80 artists from across the Arab world come together, illustrating the roads of exchanges of Arabia, from Morocco to China. The performance will run for three nights from 8 – 10 November at the Louvre Abu Dhabi.
‘On the roads of Arabia’ met en lumière la richesse du patrimoine artistique des anciennes routes d’Arabie. Musique, danse et poésie de la péninsule, d'Afrique, de la Méditerranée, d'Inde, d'Indonésie et de Chine seront présentées, accompagnées d'une extraordinaire performance calligraphique de Koom qui se dévoilera au cours du programme.
‘On the roads of Arabia’ highlights the richness of the artistic heritage of the ancient roads of Arabia. Music, dance and poetry from the Arabian Peninsula, Africa, Mediterranean, India, Indonesia and China will be presented, accompanied by an extraordinary calligraphic performance by Koom that will reveal itself during the program.
Parmi les artistes et groupes participant à la représentation figurent Faisal AL LABBAN et l'Ensemble Al Bahhara de Jeddah du Royaume d'Arabie Saoudite, Farida Mohamed Ali d'Irak, Ramadan Aly Hassan Youssef d'Egypte, l'Ensemble Rhoum El Bakkali du Maroc, Zewditou Yohannes Ensemble d’Ethiopie, Ghewar Khan Manghanyar d’Inde, Lingling Yu de Chine, Ratoh Jaroh d’Indonésie, Mohamed Koumenji, alias KOOM de Tunisie, et Al Ayyala Dance Troup des Emirats Arabes Unis.

L'exposition, Roads of Arabia: trésors archéologiques d'Arabie saoudite, explorera la riche histoire de la péninsule arabique à travers des objets archéologiques et culturels, y compris une sélection de pièces rares des Émirats arabes unis, du 8 novembre 2018 au 16 février 2019.
The exhibition, Roads of Arabia: Archaeological Treasures of Saudi Arabia, will explore the rich history of the Arabian Peninsula through archaeological and cultural artefacts, including a selection of rare pieces from the United Arab Emirates, from 8 November 2018 – 16 February 2019.
