The story of winemaking in the Chapoutier family began in 1808. Keeping with their motto “Fac et spera” (“Do and hope”), the family has continuously extended its business in the course of generations. Elected best winemaker of the year 2012, Michel Chapoutier has become one of the largest land owners on the famous Hermitage slopes.
