Décès de Pierre Bergé à l'âge de 86 ans

Pierre Bergé has passed away at the age of 86

C’est toute la famille de la culture, de la mode, des medias et bien plus encore qui rend hommage aujourd’hui à Pierre Bergé décédé en son domicile de Saint-Rémy-de-Provence à l’âge de 86 ans.

The whole family of culture, fashion, media and much more pays tribute today to Pierre Bergé who passed away in his home in Saint-Rémy-de-Provence at the age of 86, a few weeks before the inauguration of two museums dedicated to the work of Yves Saint Laurent, one in Paris and the other in Marrakech.

La Maison Yves Saint Laurent et ses employés ont appris avec une immense tristesse le décès de Monsieur Pierre Bergé, fondateur de la Maison. Ils partagent le chagrin de ses amis, de sa famille et de tous ceux qui l'ont aimé.

The Maison Yves Saint Laurent and its employees have learned with immense sadness the passing of Monsieur Pierre Bergé, Founder of the Maison. They share the grief of his friends and family and all those who loved him”.

"C'est avec une émotion profonde que j'ai appris le décès de Pierre Bergé, il m'a accueilli avec gentillesse depuis mon premier jour chez Saint Laurent. Ses conseils et son soutien m'ont toujours guidé. Je suis infiniment triste qu’il ne puisse pas assister à l'ouverture des deux musées à Paris et à Marrakech dont il s'occupait tellement. Une grande figure dans la culture française nous a quittés", a déclaré Anthony Vaccarello, directeur artistique d'Yves Saint Laurent.

“It is with a deep emotion that I have learned of Pierre Bergé’s passing, he welcomed me with kindness since my first day at Saint Laurent. His advice and his support have always guided me. I am infinitely sad that he will not be able to attend the opening of the two museums in Paris and Marrakech that he cared about so much. A great figure in French culture has left us” said Anthony Vaccarello, Artistic Director of Yves Saint Laurent.

Ce patrimoine extraordinaire est l'ADN de la Maison et nous sommes honorés et reconnaissants d'avoir la chance d'apporter ses valeurs et son esprit dans le futur.
