celebrates 190 years of creation

THE HISTORY OF WOMEN…

anonymous or renowned, such as the Empress Eugenie, for whom Eau de Cologne Impériale would be created in 1853, which remains the oldest perfume sold today, or Lily, the discreet wife who would inspire L’Heure Bleue.

FOR 190 YEARS, GUERLAIN HAS ACCOMPANIED THE EVOLUTION OF FEMININITY…

enhancing the prestige of a bullet lipstick with Ne m’oubliez pas (as early as 1870), anticipating the fashion for Orientalism with Mitsouko (1919), or responding to the tanning trend with Terracotta powder

(1984).

For the House of Guerlain, the bottles and cases are above all objects of art, inspiring craftsmen to achieve the wildest technical feats. In this respect, the Shalimar bottle would obtain first prize at the International Exhibition of Decorative Arts in 1925.
